Coyotes at World Championship

EDITOR'S NOTE: Five members of the Coyotes organization - Head Coach Dave Tippett (Canada), Mikkel Boedker (Denmark), Connor Murphy (USA), Andy Miele (USA) and Tobias Rieder (Germany) - are competing at the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk, Belarus.

DAY NINE: May 17, 2014

• Denmark rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period and defeated the Czech Republic, 4-3, in a shootout in Group A game.

Coyotes forward Mikkel Boedker played 25:57 and scored the only goal for either team in the shootout.

"We stayed in the game. We stayed the course," Boedker told reporters after the game. "We kept battling and we got two late goals. In the 4-on-4, you’ve just got to keep battling. In a shootout anything can happen. We got the first goal, so (goaltender) Simon (Nielsen) felt a little better about himself back there and he stopped them all. It was good."
