AHL
November 16: Manchester 5, Portland 1
The Monarchs took a 2-0 advantage over the Pirates in the VIP Cup Series with a 5-1 win over the Pirates in Portland. Monarch Rookie Tyler Toffoli had a hat trick just halfway through the game, and Evan Brophey had the lone Pirates goal in the defeat.
November 23: Portland 6, Springfield 5 (OT)
After falling behind 4-1, the Pirates rallied with 4 straight power play goals to take a 5-4 advantage. After Springfield tied the game, Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the game winner 19 seconds into overtime to give the Pirates the win. Alexandre Bolduc had 2 goals to give him 11 on the year to lead the team, and Andy Miele had 4 assists.
November 24: Worcester 5, Portland 1
In a very chippy contest that saw 15 fighting major penalties and 143 penalty minutes, the Worcester Sharks beat the Pirates 5-1 at the DCU Center. David Rundblad had the lone Pirates goal in the defeat.
November 25: Portland 3, Manchester 2 (OT)
The Pirates cut the deficit in the VIP Cup Series to 2-1 with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Manchester Monarchs. David Rundblad had his second goal in 2 games for the game winner in overtime. Chris Brown also chipped in a goal and Andy Miele contributed another assist.
