GLENDALE – Coyotes forward Radim Vrbata scored his fifth goal of the season and the 200th of his NHL career in the team’s 4-2 win over Calgary on Tuesday night.

“It’s a nice accomplishment and it’s nice to get it done,” Vrbata said of the 200-goal milestone, “but I hope there’s a couple more (coming) this season.”

So does Head Coach Dave Tippett and Vrbata’s teammates.

Vrbata, 32, has played 10-plus seasons in the NHL including five-plus with the Coyotes; 122 of his 200 goals have come playing for Phoenix.

All five of Vrbata’s goals this season have come on home ice, including three in the season opener vs. the New York Rangers on Oct. 3.

Phoenix next plays Thursday at Los Angeles, a team Vrbata has notched 15 goals against in 40 regular-season games.

Vrbata ranks second on the team in career NHL goals with 200. Only Shane Doan has scored more (332). Mike Ribeiro is close behind with 191.
