GLENDALE -- Coyotes prospects Henrik Samuelsson and Brendan Burke played key roles in Game 6 of the Western Hockey League Championship Series on Sunday night as Portland evened the best-of-seven series vs. Edmonton with a 6-5 overtime win.
Samuelsson, whom the Coyotes selected with the 27th overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, notched two goals and one assist for Edmonton in the loss.
Burke, whom the Coyotes selected with the 163rd overall pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, stopped 29 of 31 shots he faced in relief of Portland starting goalie Corbin Boes, who allowed three goals on 10 shots in the first period.
Both Samuelsson and Burke are from Scottsdale.
Portland trailed 3-0 after the first period and 5-2 after the second but scored three goals in the third to force overtime.
Game 7 is on Monday in Portland.
