GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the team has selected right wing Jordan Szwarz (97th overall) and defenseman Justin Weller (105th overall) in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft at Bell Centre in Montreal. In addition, left wing Evan Bloodoff was selected in the sixth round (157th overall) of the Entry Draft.

Szwarz, 18, recorded 17-34-51 and 76 penalty minutes (PIM) in 67 games last season with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He ranked 2nd on the team with a +17 rating as well as 4th in points (51). The 5-foot-11, 189-pound Szwarz also registered 1-5-6 and 10 PIM in eight playoff contests. A native of Burlington, Ontario, Szwarz collected 12-21-33 with 56 PIM and a +11 rating in 65 games with Saginaw in 2007-08 while also appearing in four postseason contests.

Weller, 17, appeared in 32 games with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL) last season, finishing with four assists and 30 PIM. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Daysland, Alberta played in 49 games for Red Deer in 2007-08, collecting three assists and 40 PIM.

Bloodoff, 18, played in 71 games for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL last season, collecting 12-9-21 and 77 PIM. He also added 3-3-6 in 22 playoff games as Kelowna captured the WHL Championship before advancing to the Memorial Cup Finals. In 2007-08, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Bloodoff recorded 15-12-27 and 69 PIM in 69 games for Kelowna. A native of Castlegar, British Columbia, Bloodoff registered 4-4-8 and 20 PIM as a WHL rookie in 2006-07. is the official Web site of the Arizona Coyotes.
