On Sunday afternoon, the Phoenix Coyotes will host the premiere of “The Rocket” at Scottsdale International Film Festival at the Harkins Camelview Theater in Scottsdale.

Coyotes /FSN Arizona Television Play-by-Play Announcer Dave Strader and Color Analyst Darren Pang will be on hand to present the film and host a “Question & Answer” session immediately following the film.

“The Rocket” is the true story of NHL legend Maurice Richard, who overcame poverty, injury and prejudice to help lead the Montreal Canadiens to eight Stanley Cup Championships from 1943-1960.

The movie also features performances by former Coyotes’ Mike Ricci and Philippe Sauve and current NHLer’s Vincent Lecavalier, Ian Laperriere and Pascal Dupuis.

The Scottsdale International Film Festival has scheduled the following showings for “The Rocket”:
  • Saturday, October 6th at 9:05 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 7th at 1:10 p.m.**
