The National Hockey League announced that Phoenix Coyotes forward Steven Reinprecht was named the NHL’s ‘Second Star’ for the week ending Nov. 11. Tampa Bay Lightning center Vincent Lecavalier was named the first star while San Jose Sharks center Jeremy Roenick was named the third star.
Reinprecht recorded seven points (4-3-7), tied for third among scorers for the week as Phoenix won two of three games for the week. On Nov. 7, Reinprecht recorded one goal and two assists in a 6-5 overtime win over the Anaheim Ducks. The next night he recorded two goals and one assist in a 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars and he closed the week by scoring the lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks, Nov. 10. For the season, Reinprecht is second on the Coyotes with 13 points (5-8-13).
The Phoenix Coyotes conclude their two-game road trip against the San Jose Sharks tonight at the HP Pavilion Center. The game time is set for 8:30 p.m. and can be seen on Fox Sports Net Arizona or heard on The FAN AM 1060.
