Coyotes' Season Ticket Holder Mark Walters on the streets of China

It is a long trip from Section 115 at Jobing.com Arena to the Great Wall in China, but for Phoenix Coyotes season ticket holder Mark Walters, it was a rewarding one. Mark travelled to China with his parents, Lloyd and Pat, on what he called an “investing adventure.” In addition to prospecting for new business opportunities, Mark took the opportunity to show everyone how proud he is to support his favorite hockey team around the globe.

Mark has been a season ticket holder with the Coyotes for three years, but his passion for hockey stretches way beyond that. According to Mark, he got into the sport in the 1970s when he used to go see the California Golden Seals play in Oakland. Although, the Seals struggled as a franchise, he credits watching greats like Phil & Tony Esposito, as well as Bobby Orr, with the development of his love for the game.

see the Edmonton Oilers dynasty teams against the Kings at the old Forum in Los Angeles was as good as it gets. Another highlight for Mark was the honor of sitting at Wayne Gretzky’s table last year at a fundraiser lunch.

It comes as no surprise that Wayne Gretzky is Mark’s favorite player of all time. The fact that the NHL’s greatest ambassador is more than just a great player is what is most impressive to Mark. For those same reasons, Mark has become a big fan of Phoenix Coyotes Captain, Shane Doan. He truly appreciates what these stars do on and off the ice.

Mark hopes this story will inspire other Coyotes fans to take the same kind of pictures on their travels so that we can create one big “Coyotes World”.
