Keith Ballard had his best offensive game at the 2008 IIHF World Championship on Monday with two assists as Team USA rolled to a 9-1 victory over Norway in Halifax. Ballard and Peter Mueller were both a team high +3 in the game. Mueller also chipped in with an assist.

Brandon Dubinsky (New York Rangers) carried the load on offense with a hat trick on just three shots on goal for a shooting percentage of 100. Dustin Brown (Los Angeles Kings) and Pat Kane (Chicago Blackhawks) both had solid games with 3 points each.

Shane Doan delivered the goods for Team Canada on Monday with 2 crucial goals that helped his team conquer a talented Team Finland, 6-3.

Team USA will now have a rematch with Team Finland on Wednesday in the Quarterfinals. On Sunday, Finland won a controversial 3-2 battle.

Team Canada will enter the Quarterfinals undefeated on their home turf as the clear choice to win it all. They will face either Norway or Latvia in a game where they will be the heavy favorite on Wednesday.
