Coyotes center Martin Hanzal skated with teammates again Monday morning and Head Coach Wayne Gretzky said the second-year center may play in one of the team’s preseason games this
weekend, most likely the exhibition finale on Saturday night vs. the Los Angeles Kings at Jobing.com Arena.
“It depends on how he feels tomorrow (because) he did some physical stuff today,” Gretzky said Monday. “And that’s a big step for him so hopefully he’ll be ready to play in one of these games this weekend.”
Hanzal has been taking things slowly during training camp as he recovers from back surgery to repair a herniated disk in July.
