COYOTES RECALL PASSMORE FROM SAN ANTONIO
GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have recalled goaltender Steve Passmore from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes' top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
In two games with the Rampage this season, Passmore has a 1-1 record, 4.05 goals against average (GAA) and .889 save percentage (SV%). Passmore joined the Coyotes this past summer when he signed as a free agent on Aug. 19.
The 32-year-old netminder has played in 93 NHL games over parts of six seasons with Edmonton, Chicago and Los Angeles. In his NHL career, Passmore has collected a 23-44-12 record, 2.79 GAA and .895 SV%. His best NHL season came in 2001-02 when he registered a 8-5-4 record, 2.26 GAA and .904 SV% in 23 games with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound native of Thunder Bay, Ontario was originally drafted by Quebec in the 9th round (196th overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.
