COYOTES TELEVISION COLOR ANALYST PANG TO BE STUDIO ANALYST FOR TSN'S PLAYOFF COVERAGE
Phoenix Coyotes Television Color Analyst for FSN Arizona & WB 6, Darren Pang, has been selected by Canada's TSN (The Sports Network) as an in-studio host and analyst for their national coverage of the 2006 National Hockey League Playoffs. Pang, who joined the Coyotes broadcast team last season, had previous experience calling NHL playoff action with TSN's parent company, ESPN.
"I think Darren's selection to the TSN national studio team is a testament to the quality work he has done not just for us here at the Coyotes, but also on the national stage with ESPN, CBS and NBC. Darren is a true professional and we are proud of his accomplishments," said Coyotes President and COO Douglas Moss.
Pang, 40, worked with ESPN from 1993-2004 as a game analyst. In addition, he was an ice level reporter for CBS at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and for NBC at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. He was also a member of the Chicago Blackhawks broadcast team from 1990-97.
The Meaford, Ontario native was a goaltender for the Blackhawks for three NHL seasons. He had a career record of 27-35-7 and was named to the all-rookie team in 1988.
