BOARD APPROVES SALE OF
ST. LOUIS BLUES & PHOENIX COYOTES
NEW YORK (June 21, 2006) -- The National Hockey League's Board of Governors, at its annual meeting, today approved the proposed sales of the St. Louis Blues and Phoenix Coyotes. In each case, the approval was forwarded pending the closing of the proposed transaction.
The Board approved the proposed sale of the Blues by Bill and Nancy Laurie to a group led by Dave Checketts.
The Board also approved the proposed sale of the Coyotes by Steve Ellman to Jerry Moyes.
