COYOTES RECALL EIGHT PLAYERS FROM SAN ANTONIO

Boedker
Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forwards Mikkel Boedker, Brett MacLean, Joel Perrault, Alexandre Picard and Kyle Turris, defenseman David Schlemko and goaltenders Al Montoya and Josh Tordjman from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. 

Boedker, 19, recorded 1-2-3 in 14 games with the Coyotes this season.  He also registered 11-27-38 in 64 games with San Antonio to rank 5th on the team in scoring.  Boedker has collected 12-19-31 in 92 career NHL games with the Coyotes and was originally selected by the Coyotes in the first round (8th overall) of the 2008 Entry Draft.

MacLean
MacLean, 21, led the Rampage in scoring this season 30-35-65 and a +13 rating in 76 games.  He also ranked T-10th in the AHL in goals and T-19th in points.  MacLean was drafted by the Coyotes in the 2nd round (32nd overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.  MacLean represented San Antonio at the 2009 AHL All-Star Game last season.

Perrault
Perrault, 27, scored one goal while appearing in two games with the Coyotes this season.  He also recorded 17-19-36 in 47 games with San Antonio to rank 6th on the team in points and T-4th in goals.  Perrault has collected 12-14-26 in 89 career NHL games with Phoenix and St. Louis.  He was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.

Picard
Picard, 24, totaled 26-24-50 in 58 games with San Antonio and Syracuse after being acquired from Columbus on Mar. 3 in exchange for Chad Kolarik.  Picard finished the season ranked 3rd on the Rampage in total points and registered 9-6-15 in 16 games with the team.  He also appeared in nine NHL games for Columbus this season.  Picard, who was selected by Columbus in the first round (8th overall) of the 2004 Entry Draft, has registered two assists in 67 career NHL games for the Blue Jackets.

Turris
Turris, 20, ranked 2nd on San Antonio in scoring by recording 24-39-63 in 76 games this season.  His 39 assists also led the team.  Last season, Turris registered 8-12-20 in 63 games with the Coyotes as a rookie.  He was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (3rd overall) of the 2007 Entry Draft.

Schlemko
Schlemko, 22, appeared in 17 games for the Coyotes this season and recorded 1-4-5.  He also tallied 5-26-31 in 55 games for San Antonio.  Schlemko, who signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 19, 2007, has collected 1-5-6 in 20 career NHL games with Phoenix.

Montoya
Montoya, 25, appeared in 14 games for San Antonio this season and posted a record of 4-7-1 with a 2.65 goals against average (GAA) and a .904 save percentage (SV).  Last season, Montoya became the first goalie in Jets/Coyotes franchise history to record a shutout in his NHL debut when he blanked the Colorado Avalanche on Apr. 1.  In five games with the Coyotes last season, Montoya went 3-1-0 with a 2.08 GAA and a .925 SV%.  Originally selected by the New York Rangers in the first round (6th overall) of the 2004 Entry Draft, Montoya was acquired by the Coyotes from the Rangers on Feb. 26, 2008.

Tordjman
Tordjman, 25, posted a record of 20-22-2 with a 2.96 GAA and a .902 SV% in 45 games with San Antonio this season.  He also received the AHL’s Yanick Dupré Memorial Award as the 2009-10 American Specialty/AHL Man of the Year.  Last season, Tordjman made his NHL debut with the Coyotes on Mar. 8 at the New York Islanders.  He signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 2, 2006.
