GLENDALE, AZ --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Garrett Stafford from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 6-foot, 195 pound Stafford currently leads all San Antonio defensemen in scoring with 12 points (3-9-12) and is second overall in scoring among defensemen in the AHL. The 29-year-old native of Los Angeles, CA. has recorded three multi-point games this season, including a three-point night (1-2-3) vs. CHI on October 8.

Last season, Stafford collected 32 points (7-25-32) in 60 games with the Texas Stars (AHL). He ranked ninth overall in scoring on Texas, while finishing the regular season 33rd overall among defensemen in the league.

Stafford signed with the Coyotes as an unrestricted free-agent on July 3, 2010.
