Coyotes Recall Yonkman from AHL

GLENDLAE, Arizona --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Nolan Yonkman from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes’ American Hockey League affiliate.

In 12 games with the Rampage this season, the 6-foot-6, 247 pound Yonkman has recorded 17 penalty minutes. Last season, Yonkman played 76 games with the Milwaukee Admirals, collecting 2-7-9 and a career high 170 penalty minutes.

The 29-year-old native of Punnichy, Saskatchewan has played in 50 career NHL games with the Washington Capitals registering 1-7-8 and 90 penalty minutes. Yonkman was drafted by Washington in the second round (37th overall) in the 1999 Entry Draft.
