Statement from the Phoenix Coyotes after the Glendale City Council Meeting on Dec. 14

GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- The following is a statement from the Phoenix Coyotes in response to the Glendale City Council's vote tonight to support the new Jobing.com Arena lease agreement with Matthew Hulsizer.

"The Phoenix Coyotes are very pleased that Glendale City Council voted this evening to support the new Jobing.com Arena lease agreement between Matthew Hulsizer and the City of Glendale.

This vote is another step towards securing our future in Glendale and we remain optimistic that a deal will be finalized soon.

The Coyotes would like to thank Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs, City Manager Ed Beasley and the City Council for their commitment to the Coyotes and all the great hockey fans in the Valley of the Sun for their continued support and patience throughout this process."
