Coyotes Assign Climie to AHL

GLENDALE, AZ – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned goaltender Matt Climie to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 6-foot-3, 194-pound Climie has played in one game for the Coyotes this season. He stopped 15 of 16 shots in 32 minutes at Pittsburgh on Dec. 20.

In 18 games with San Antonio this season, Climie has posted a 13-5 record with a 2.45 goals against average and a .924 save percentage.

The 27-year-old native of Leduc, Alberta, signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 3, 2010. In 2009-10, Climie appeared in 43 games with the Texas Stars (AHL), posting a record of 21-17-3 with a 2.46 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.

The Coyotes will play the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow (Tuesday) and the Los Angeles Kings Wednesday at Jobing.com Arena. Both games are at 7 p.m.
