Coyotes Assign Summers to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney today announced the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Chris Summers to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 6-foot-2, 205 pound Summers was recalled by the Coyotes on an emergency basis on Wednesday. He has played two games with the Coyotes this season collecting four penalty minutes. In 58 games with the Rampage, the 23-year-old native of Ann Arbor, Michigan has recorded 1-7-8 and 52 penalty minutes.

Summers was drafted by the Coyotes in the first-round (29th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.
