Coyotes Start Key Six-Game Homestand on Sunday

GLENDALE -- The Coyotes have shifted gears and have started to leave teams behind in their push to earn a second consecutive berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. ![]() |

The stretch-drive schedule is certainly set up nicely for the Coyotes; seven of their last nine games will be played at home, and the only two road games will be played in nearby Los Angeles and San Jose.
The team’s next six games will all be played in Glendale over the next 13 days. Here’s a quick look at the homestand, which starts with a rare Sunday game against the Chicago Blackhawks, by-the-numbers style.

1,000: NHL games played by Adrian Aucoin once he takes the ice on Sunday vs. Chicago. Aucoin is poised to become the second Coyotes defenseman to join the exclusive 1,000 game club this season. Ed Jovanovski did it in December.
10,000: Ilya Bryzaglov bobblehead dolls that will be given away to fans who attend the final game of the homestand on April 1.
