Coyotes Recall Miele from AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA ---
Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled center Andy Miele from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 5-foot-9, 180 pound Miele has played four games with the Pirates this season and leads the team in goals (3), assists (4) and points (7). On Wednesday night, Miele recorded a five point game by registering 2-3-5 in a 5-3 victory over the Manchester Monarchs.

In 2010-11, Miele played in all 39 games for the Miami University RedHawks (CCHA) and led the nation in scoring with 24-47-71. He also led all NCAA players in assists and points and won the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA’s best player.

Miele will travel to Phoenix today and will be available to the Coyotes when they play at Anaheim Sunday night at 5:00 p.m. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona and KFNN AM (1510).
