GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired center Brock Trotter and a seventh round pick in the 2012 Entry Draft from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Petteri Nokelainen and Garrett Stafford.

The Brandon, Manitoba native recorded career highs in goals (36), assists (41), points (77) and PIM (56) in 75 regular season games with Hamilton (AHL) in 2009-10. He appeared in 19 Calder Cup Playoff games with the Bulldogs, totaling 8-11-19 and 14 PIM.
Phoenix will also receive the Montreal Canadiens’ seventh round selection in the 2012 Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-1, 202-pound Nokelainen appeared in five games with the Coyotes this season, collecting one assist. The 25-year-old native of Imatra, Finland was signed as an unrestricted free agent on May 20, 2011.
The 6-foot, 203 pound Stafford appeared in six games with the Portland Pirates (American Hockey League) this season, recording 1-3-4 and six PIM.
