Coyotes Re-Acquire MacLean

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-acquired forward Brett MacLean through waivers. MacLean will be assigned to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 201 pound MacLean was claimed off of waivers by the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 5. He appeared in five games with the Jets, collecting two assists. In 2010-11, MacLean recorded 2-1-3 and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 13 games with the Coyotes.

The 22-year-old of Port Elgin, Ontario also registered 23-27-50 and 28 PIM in 51 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) during the 2010-11 season.

MacLean was drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.
