Three Prospects Invited to Team Canada\u2019s National Junior Selection Camp

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that three of the team’s top prospects, goaltenders Mark Visentin and Louis Domingue as well as defenseman Brandon Gormley, have been invited to take part in Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp, December 10-14 at the WinSport Canada Athletic and Ice Complex in Calgary, Alberta. The Coyotes along with the Montreal Canadiens and Florida Panthers had the most prospects invited to the camp (3).

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Visentin is one of three returning players for Canada that earned a silver medal at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y. In 17 games with the Niagara Ice Dogs (OHL) this season, the 19-year-old Visentin is 8-7-1 with a 2.92 goals against average and a .894 save percentage. The reigning OHL Goaltender of the Year also has four shutouts. Visentin was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (27th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Domingue is 12-3-1 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .930 save percentage in 18 games with the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL) this season. The 19-year-old Domingue ranks first among goaltenders in the QMJHL in save percentage and he is second in goals against average. Domingue was drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth round (138th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 196-pound Gormley has posted 10-16-26 in 22 games with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL) this season. The 19-year-old Gormley ranks tied for second among defensemen in the QMJHL in goals and points. Gormley was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (13th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Canada will announce its final roster for the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship that will take place Dec. 26, 2011 to Jan. 5, 2012 in Calgary and Edmonton at the conclusion of its selection camp on Dec. 14. is the official Web site of the Arizona Coyotes.
