GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- Phoenix Coyotes President & Chief Operating Officer Mike Nealy announced today that the organization has exceeded its goal of recognizing 17,125 local heroes from around the Valley by sending 17,234 heroes to date to Coyotes games this season. The Coyotes launched the Hard Way Heroes program on November 10, 2011 and the campaign will continue to run through April 3, the Coyotes final regular season home game.

“We are thrilled with the success of our Hard Way Heroes program this season and extremely proud to have recognized 17,234 local individuals that have performed courageous and noble acts in our community,” said Nealy. “On behalf of the entire Phoenix Coyotes organization I would like to thank all of our fans that contributed to the program and all our great corporate partners who made this possible.”

The Coyotes encouraged fans to contribute to the campaign by donating as little as one dollar to help send the heroes of Arizona to a game. In addition to the support received from season ticket holders and fans, several corporate partners contributed to the program to help make the goal of sending at least 17,125 heroes to games this season a reality. Among the partners who contributed to the Hard Way Heroes program were Cricket, Desert Schools, Fry’s Food Stores, Hensley, RAM, St. Joseph’s Hospital, TriWest and the University of Phoenix.

The Coyotes have only four more regular season home games remaining in the 2011-12 season. Fans can continue to donate to the Hard Way Heroes program by making a donation at Jobing.com Arena during Coyotes games or by visiting PhoenixCoyotes.com/heroes.
