Coyotes Sign Klinkhammer to One-Year, Two-Way Contract

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed left wing Rob Klinkhammer (KLIHNK-ham-uhr) to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.


The 6-foot-3, 214 pound Klinkhammer recorded 12-23-35 and 30 penalty minutes (PIM) with Binghamton, the Ottawa Senators American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate in 2011-12. He also skated in 15 games with Ottawa, collecting two assists.

The 25-year-old native of Lethbridge, Alberta has registered 68-100-168 and 210 PIM in 343 career AHL games. In addition to the 15 NHL games with Ottawa this past season, Klinkhammer appeared in one game with Chicago during the 2010-11 season.

Klinkhammer signed with the Chicago Blackhawks as an undrafted free agent in 2007.
