2012-13 Coyotes Prospects Report: 11/26/2012

AHL


Nov. 16: Manchester 5, Portland 1

The Monarchs took a 2-0 advantage over the Pirates in the VIP Cup Series with a 5-1 win over the Pirates in Portland.

Monarchs rookie Tyler Toffoli had a hat trick just halfway through the game, and Evan Brophey had the lone Pirates goal in the defeat.


Nov. 23: Portland 6, Springfield 5 (OT)

Miele

After falling behind 4-1, the Pirates rallied with four straight power-play goals to take a 5-4 advantage.

After Springfield tied the score, Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the game-winner 19 seconds into overtime to give the Pirates the win.

Alexandre Bolduc
had two goals to give him 11 on the year to lead the team, and Andy Miele had four assists.


Nov. 24: Worcester 5, Portland 1

In a very chippy contest that saw 15 fighting major penalties and 143 penalty minutes, the Worcester Sharks beat the Pirates 5-1 at the DCU Center.

David Rundblad
had the lone Pirates goal in the defeat.


Nov. 25: Portland 3, Manchester 2 (OT)

Rundblad

The Pirates cut the deficit in the VIP Cup Series to 2-1 with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Manchester Monarchs.

David Rundblad had his second goal in two games for the game-winner in overtime.

Chris Brown
also chipped in a goal and Miele contributed another assist.

ECHL

Five prospects are playing for the Gwinnett Gladiators:

• Goalie Mike Lee is 9-3-1 with a 1.69 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage.

• Goalie Louis Domingue is 3-1-0 with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage.

• Forward Evan Bloodoff has six goals and five assists in 15 games.

• Defenseman Justin Weller has one goal in 14 games.

• Forward Maxime Villemaire has played six games and is minus-2.



Canadian Hockey League

Eight prospects are playing junior hockey for Canadian Hockey League teams:

• Forward Andrew Fritsch has 11 goals and 12 assists in 26 games for Sault Ste. Marie (OHL)

• Defenseman Justin Hache has 11 assists in 27 games for Cape Breton (QMJHL)

• Forward Kale Kessy has seven goals and five assists in 15 games for Vancouver (WHL)

• Forward Lucas Lessio (injured) has seven goals and six assists in 13 games for Oshawa (OHL)

• Defenseman James Melindy has two goals and six assists in 25 games for Moncton (QMJHL)

• Defenseman Connor Murphy has five goals and six assists in 25 games for Sarnia (OHL)

• Forward Henrik Samuelsson has 12 goals and 15 assists in 25 games for Edmonton (WHL)

• Goalie Marek Langhamer is 4-6-1 with a 3.53 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage for Medicine Hat (WHL)


NCAA

• Forward Samuel "Hunter" Fejes has one goal and three assists in 14 games for Colorado College (WCHA)

• Defenseman Rhett Holland (injured) has played three games for Michigan State (CCHA)

• Forward Zac Larraza has one goal and four assists in 11 games for University of Denver (WCHA)


KHL

• Forward Viktor Tikhonov has six goals and eight assists in 18 games for St. Petersburg.


European Elite Leagues

• Defenseman Jonas Ahnelov has one goal and two assists in 26 games for Modo (SWE)

• Forward Vladimir Ruzicka has three goals and 12 assists in 24 games for Slavia Praha (CZECH)


Finnish Leagues

• Forward Alexander Ruuttu has seven goals and 11 assists in 19 games for Kiekko-Vantaa (FIN D1) and has played four games for Jokerit (SM-liiga)

• Defenseman Niklas Tikkinen has six assists in three games for Espoo (Jr. A SM-liiga), four assists in eight games for Espoo (SM-liiga) and one goal and two assists in five games for HCK (Finland2).
