2012-13 Coyotes Prospects Report: 12/17/2012

AHL

December 11: Portland 2, Bridgeport 1 (OT)

The Pirates won their first game against Bridgeport this year, a thriller in which David Rundblad scored his second game-winning goal in overtime this season.

Alexandre Bolduc also scored for the Pirates; his team leading 13th goal of the year.

December 14: Portland 4, Manchester 2

In their return to the Androscoggin Bank Colisée, the Pirates rallied to take a 3-2 lead in the VIP Cup Series, presented by VIP Parts, Tires, and Service.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the game winner for the Pirates in the third period, and Rundblad, Chris Brown and Brett Hextall scored goals as well.

December 15: Portland 1, Connecticut 0

Andy Miele scored the lone goal, and Mark Visentin stopped all 28 shots he faced for his first professional shutout. T

he Pirates improved to 2-0 against the Whale this season, with both wins coming in Hartford.

December 16: Portland 3, Worcester 2

The Pirates finished their two-game trip with a come-from-behind victory.

Miele again scored the game winning goal, and Brandon Gormley and Brendan Shinnimin added tallies.

The victory gave the Pirates their first five-game winning streak since the 2010-11 season.

ECHL

Five prospects are playing for the Gwinnett Gladiators:

• Goalie Mike Lee is 9-7-1 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.

• Goalie Louis Domingue is 8-1-0 with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

• Forward Evan Bloodoff has nine goals and eight assists in 24 games.

• Defenseman Justin Weller has one goal and one assist in 21 games.

• Forward Maxime Villemaire has one assist in 14 games.


Canadian Hockey League

Eight prospects are playing junior hockey for Canadian Hockey League teams:

• Forward Andrew Fritsch has 11 goals and 12 assists in 30 games for Sault Ste. Marie (OHL)

• Defenseman Justin Hache has two goals and 15 assists in 36 games for Cape Breton (QMJHL)

• Forward Kale Kessy has eight goals and five assists in 25 games for Vancouver (WHL)

• Forward Lucas Lessio (injured) has seven goals and six assists in 13 games for Oshawa (OHL)

• Defenseman James Melindy has three goals and eight assists in 33 games for Moncton (QMJHL)

• Defenseman Connor Murphy has six goals and 12 assists in 33 games for Sarnia (OHL)

• Forward Henrik Samuelsson has 16 goals and 20 assists in 34 games for Edmonton (WHL)

• Goalie Marek Langhamer is 6-8-1 with a 3.62 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage for Medicine Hat (WHL)


NCAA

• Forward Samuel "Hunter" Fejes has two goals and three assists in 19 games for Colorado College (WCHA)

• Defenseman Rhett Holland (injured) has played three games for Michigan State (CCHA)

• Forward Zac Larraza has one goal and four assists in 15 games for University of Denver (WCHA)


KHL

• Forward Viktor Tikhonov has six goals and eight assists in 19 games for St. Petersburg.


European Elite Leagues

• Defenseman Jonas Ahnelov has one goal and four assists in 32 games for Modo (SWE)

• Forward Vladimir Ruzicka has three goals and 12 assists in 28 games for Slavia Praha (CZECH)


Finnish Leagues

• Forward Alexander Ruuttu has eight goals and 12 assists in 27 games for Kiekko-Vantaa (FIN D1) and has played four games for Jokerit (SM-liiga)

• Defenseman Niklas Tikkinen has two goals and 10 assists in nine games for Espoo (Jr. A SM-liiga), five assists in nine games for Espoo (SM-liiga), one goal and two assists in five games for HCK (Finland2), and three assists in two games for LeKi (Finland2).
