Lee Selected to ECHL All-Star Team

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – The ECHL announced today that Gwinnett Gladiators goaltender Mike Lee, the Coyotes’ third round draft selection (91st overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, has been selected to the 2013 ECHL All-Star Team. The ECHL All-Star Game is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2013 at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Lee currently ranks second among ECHL goaltenders with a 2.06 goals against average and a .922 save percentage in 20 games for Gwinnett. He has earned a 10-9-1-0 record on this season.
The Roseau, Minn., native has been named ECHL Goalie of the Week twice this season. Lee first earned the honor for his performance for the week of October 22-28 and again for the week of November 5-11.
Lee has earned two shutouts for Gwinnett this season as he made 17 saves in a 3-0 win at Evansville on Oct. 24. He then made 22 saves in a 1-0 win over the Orlando Solar Bears on Nov. 22.
The netminder spent one game with the Portland Pirates this season and won his first AHL game in his first AHL appearance. He made 28 saves in relief in a 4-3 shootout win against Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 8.
Last season, Lee played his third season with St. Cloud State where he started in 16 games and posted a record of 8-6-2 with a 2.23 GAA and a .930 SV%.
