Eye on the Pirates: Portland Leads Division by Six Points
GLENDALE -- The Portland Pirates, the Coyotes’ top affiliate in the American Hockey League, lost three of four games last week but still lead the Atlantic Division by six points.
Portland (24-15-1-1) will try to start a new winning streak this week with several key players – including Andy Miele, David Rundblad, Rob Klinkhammer - and newcomer Nick Johnson back from Coyotes training camp.
Team captain/leading scorer Alex Bolduc and defenseman Michael Stone remain with the Coyotes.

Ethan Werek had the Pirates’ tally, as Connecticut scored three of its four goals on special teams.
• Last Friday, the Pirates defeated Providence 3-2 via a thrilling seven-round shootout.
Dziurzynski, who scored two goals against Providence on Friday for his first career multi-point game, is on a three-game point streak.
