Coyotes Recall Brown and Klinkhammer from AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forwards Chris Brown and Rob Klinkhammer from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes’ American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Brown has appeared in 51 games with the Pirates this season totaling 18-11-29 and 79 PIM. He ranks second on the team in goals and is fourth in scoring while leading the team with seven power-play goals.
In 2011-12, the 22-year-old native of Flower Mound, Texas posted 12-17-29 in 38 games with the University of Michigan. He completed his collegiate career with 34-46-80 in 125 games.
Brown was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-3, 214-pound Klinkhammer has appeared in 52 games with the Pirates this season collecting a team-leading 14-30-44 and 36 PIM. He is tied for eighth in the AHL in points and leads Portland in assists while ranking third on the team in goals.
Klinkhammer has posted 0-2-2 in 16 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. In 2011-12, the 26-year-old native of Lethbridge, Alberta collected 12-23-35 in 35 games with the Binghamton Senators (AHL) and 0-2-2 in 15 games with Ottawa.
Klinkhammer signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 13, 2012.
