Recap: Coyotes at 2013 IIHF World Championship

GLENDALE -- Coyotes forward David Moss notched an assist on Sunday to help the United States beat Finland, 3-2 in a shootout, in the bronze medal game at the 2013 IIHF World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden.

Coyotes forward Lauri Korpikoski scored both of Finland’s goals and was named the game’s best player.

Five other Coyotes – Mikkel Boedker (Denmark), Martin Hanzal (Czech Republic), Zbynek Michalek (Czech Republic), Mike Smith (Canada) and Radim Vrbata (Czech Republic) - also played in the tournament but did not make it to the bronze medal or gold medal games. Sweden won the prestigious event by beating Switzerland 5-1 in the gold medal game.

Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett served as an assistant coach for Canada.
