GLENDALE – The Coyotes trimmed their training camp roster by 10 players on Thursday.

Domi

Forward Max Domi, the team’s first-round draft pick just three months ago, remains in camp with 38 other players and will be in the lineup for the next preseason game on Saturday at San Jose.

Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett liked the way Domi, 18, played in Sunday’s home preseason game vs. LA but is eager to see how he will perform in a hostile environment such as the SAP Center in San Jose – formerly the HP Pavilion.

“That will be a good test for him,” Tippett said.

Tippett said the next round of cuts likely wouldn’t come until after Saturday’s game. The Coyotes depart for a four-day training camp trip to Western Canada on Sunday.

• Forward Guillaume Latendresse, who is at camp on a professional tryout basis, is leading the team in preseason scoring with four points in two games.

Latendresse has notched two goals and two assists and is plus-3. Newcomer Brandon Yip also has scored two goals this preseason.

Forward Andy Miele and defenseman David Rundblad are leading the way with three assists each. Miele also scored a nice breakaway goal in the intra-squad scrimmage on Wednesday.

 Klesla

• Defenseman Rostislav Klesla, who was injured in the team’s preseason home opener on Sunday thanks to a hard check from LA’s Jordan Nolan, was back at Jobing.com Arena on Thursday to check in and do some stretching exercises.

"It's good to see him around (the arena), but I don't think he's close to getting back on the ice," Tippett said.

Klesla was removed from the ice on a stretcher and spent a few hours at a nearby hospital on Sunday night before heading home.

• Forward Paul Bissonnette will continue to practice with the team despite being suspended by the NHL for 10 games on Monday.
