Smith wowed fans last season when he debuted a Wile E. Coyote-themed mask designed by artist David Arrigo.
This year’s mask, which again features the famous cartoon coyote and Mike’s two sons, has several new wrinkles.
"It's a true wraparound mask," Arrigo said, "starting on the left side with the smoke with his boys' names in it, following around the chin to the right side where you see the boys riding the Acme rocket holding onto Wile E., then coming over the top where you find the Roadrunner impaled on the front of the Acme rocket."
According to Arrigo, Smith took an even bigger role in designing this mask than he had in past collaborations between the two.
“The only thing he didn't do on this one was paint it,” Arrigo said. “He wanted a clean and very simple background design.”
Smith's sons Aksel and Ajax painted the backplate of the mask.
