Coyotes Recall Brown from AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Chris Brown from the Portland Pirates, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 22-year-old Brown has recorded 3-5-8 and 25 penalty minutes (PIM) in 10 games with the Pirates this season. He ranked second on the team in scoring at the time of his recall.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Flower Mound, Texas has appeared in eight career NHL games, collecting 19 PIM. He became just the sixth native Texan to play in the NHL when he made his debut with Phoenix on Mar. 4, 2013 vs. ANA.

Brown was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
