Coyotes Assign Klesla to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Rostislav Klesla to the Portland Pirates, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 31-year-old Klesla has recorded 1-2-3 with 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 15 games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Novy Jicin, Czech Republic native has registered 48-110-158 with 606 PIM in 649 career NHL Games.

Klesla was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round (fourth overall) in the 2000 Entry Draft. is the official Web site of the Arizona Coyotes.
