Coyotes and Microsoft Teaming to Provide School Supplies for Kids
GLENDALE -- The Arizona Coyotes and Microsoft are teaming up to give backpacks filled with school supplies to 2,000 kids in Arizona.
These children are members of one of our three non-profit partners, the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix, Heart for the City and Sojourner Center. These Coyotes/Microsoft co-branded backpacks will be filled by Microsoft employees with school supplies that are donated from the community, Microsoft and the Arizona Coyotes.
The Arizona Coyotes are asking fans to bring school supplies to the NHL Draft viewing party on Friday, June 27. After receiving school supply lists, the items that are needed from our fans are pencils, crayons, highlighters, glue sticks, loose-leaf paper and pocket folders.
There are thousands of kids in our community that need help with even basic school supplies and we know our generous fans are always happy to help. With every new package of the above items that is donated at the NHL Draft Viewing Party, fans will be entered into a contest to win a suite for 12 people to a Coyotes game in the 2014-15 Season, complete with a meet and greet with a hockey player after the game.
This partnership proves that helping the kids in our community is a team effort and that is why the Arizona Coyotes and Microsoft have joined together to engage Coyotes fans and Arizona residents. This school supply collection and contest at the NHL Draft Viewing Party allows our fans to help children in need and to also allow our funding to buy the more expensive items on the school supply lists.
Keep an eye out for another school supply collection later in July and the children will receive their backpacks on July 28.
