Partnered with and hosted by the Feed My Starving Children organization in Tempe, the volunteers packed 59 boxes of food that will ultimately provide 12,744 meals for hungry children in the Philippines.
"For me, I'm the father of two kids and it's sad to see that kids around the world are struggling without food," Michalek said. "I'm happy to help."
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit.
"We've been working with the Coyotes for the last few years and they come and do an excellent packing session," said Janine Skinner, the Development Advisor for Feed My Starving Children. "They've supported us financially and with volunteers, and they do a great job of promoting us within the organization as well, so we're very, very grateful."
