Scott Saxberg is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Crescent Point. He was a founder of Crescent Point Energy in 2001 and has been president of the company since 2003. Mr. Saxberg has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1992, having held a variety of roles with companies such as Shelter Bay, Wascana Energy Inc., Numac Energy Inc. and Magin Energy Inc.
Under Mr. Saxberg’s direction, Crescent Point has grown from 275 boe/d in 2001 to an expected 163,500 boe/d in 2015 and a current market capitalization of more than $9 billion. Along the way, Mr. Saxberg has received notable recognition, including being named as one of the Globe and Mail’s Top 40 Under 40, awarded the 2009 Producer of the Year in Oilweek magazine and named the 2011 Saskatchewan Oilman of the Year.
Crescent Point has also received notable recognition, including awards from Alberta Venture magazine for having the best workplace in Alberta in both 2008 and 2011.
In addition to Mr. Saxberg’s passions for hockey and leading a successful corporation, he is an owner of Liquidity, a winery located in beautiful Okanagan Falls of BC wine country.
Mr. Saxberg is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and serves on the board of Aston Hill Energy General Partner. He also serves on the CAPP board of governors, the CAPP Saskatchewan Executive Policy Group and the STARS Society board of directors.
Mr. Saxberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Manitoba.
