GLENDALE – The Coyotes will put their most recent three-game winning streak on the line tonight when they host the Ottawa Senators at Jobing.com Arena. The puck drops at 8 p.m. (Arizona time).

Phoenix (16-11-1) has outscored opponents 10-5 during the streak. Intelligent forechecking, penalty killing and solid goaltending by Ilya Bryzgalov all have played keyed roles in the victories.

Head Coach Dave Tippett has spoken all season about how the Coyotes must score goals "by committee."  That was the case Thursday when Taylor Pyatt and Petr Prucha each ended lenghty goal droughts in a 2-1 victory over Calgary.

Pyatt wowed Tippett with strong play in the corners and along the boards. Tippett called Pyatt's performance his best game of the season.

"Now he has to go out and try to better that game," Tippett said. "And if he does that, he'll be a regularly contributing player for us, and that's what we need."

Regarding the Senators, Tippett said: "They're a different team than they've been in the past with a new coach there, but they're a solid team that plays the game pretty quick."

Coyotes defenseman Ed Jovanovski, who has played just one full game since suffering a lower-body injury on Nov. 5, skated Saturday morning and is hoping to play tonight. He will skate with his teammates during warmups, then decide if he can play.

The Senators (13-9-4) are 0-2-1 on a five-game trip and have lost six consecutive road games overall.

Goaltender Brian Elliott is 2-3-1 with a 3.13 goals-against average since inheriting the starting job from Pascal Leclaire, who is nursing an injured cheekbone.

"Brian's fighting the puck right now," Senators Head Coach Cory Clouston told reporters after Thursday's 6-3 loss at Los Angeles. "He's having some adversity, or whatever you want to call it, but he's got to find a way to battle through it."
