The Coyotes will try to up their winning streak to four games tonight when they play the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place. The puck drops at 6 p.m. (Arizona time).

Phoenix (37-23-11) will enter the game in fifth place in the Western Conference standings with 11 games left in the regular season.

Phoenix has won two of three games played vs. Edmonton this season, including a 4-3 overtime win at Rexall Place on Nov. 19. The last time the Coyotes/Jets franchise won two games at Edmonton in the same season was in 1992-93.

Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to start in goal for the Coyotes. Bryzgalov has stopped 81 of the 88 shots he has faced against the Oilers in three games this season.

The Coyotes are being led by captain Shane Doan, who has produced six goals and nine assists in his last 15 games. Despite missing 10 games, Doan ranks second on the team in scoring with 52 points.

Tonight's match will be the first of back-to-back games for the Coyotes. After playing the Oilers, who rank 28th in the NHL in scoring at 2.43 goals per game, the Coyotes will play at Vancouver on Friday night. The Canucks lead the NHL with 3.24 goals per game.

Edmonton (23-38-9), which has been eliminated from the playoffs, is trying to play spoiler with an injury-depleted roster (see INJURIES below). 

The Oilers are 0-3-1 in their past four games and were outscored 16-3 in those games. On the flip side, the Oilers have won five of their past seven home games.

Goalie Devan Dubnyk has played all three games vs. the Coyotes this season and is 1-1-1 with a 3.57 goals-against average in those games.

The Oilers are hoping center Teemu Hartikainen will make an impact in his NHL debut tonight. Hartikainen has scored 17 goals in 66 games for Oklahoma City (AHL) this season. Click here to read more.
