The History of Howler

Born alongside the roar of the mighty Colorado River, and beneath cavernous sandstone cliffs, a special breed of coyotes once roamed the majestic Grand Canyon. One young coyote – Canis Howlus Maximus – didn’t quite fit in with the rest of his pack. He disliked the desert heat and slow pace of living, and he dreamed about something faster, and colder. This did not sit well with the rest of his pack, who mocked him for his wild dreams, and howling skills. Thus, he set out on a westward adventure.

The first stop was the Pacific Ocean, where he was chased by carnivorous Sharks from San Jose. He then swam all the way to Los Angeles, where an evil group of Kings showed him no respect. After a trip to Anaheim, where he feasted on Ducks, this howling machine charged back to the desert. A long haul on the 10-Freeway East, led him to the 101 loop and before he knew it, he saw Jobing.com Arena. It did not take long for his skills to get noticed, and on October 7th, 2005, Howler became the official mascot of the Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Club. His quest for the cool air led him to learn to skate like the wind. Now he patrols the ice, and the arena, entertaining fans of all ages.

Clearly, there is only one “Howler”.
