Associated Press ANAHEIM –Ilya Bryzgalov shut out his former team for the third time since leaving Anaheim, Taylor Pyatt scored on a deflection and Shane Doan connected during a power play (see KEY MOMENT below) to lead the Coyotes to a 3-0 victory over the Ducks at the Honda Center on Sunday night.
Bryzgalov made 26 saves for his second shutout of the season and 18th of his NHL career. He was waived by the Ducks during the 2007-08 season and claimed by the Coyotes.
The Ducks (13-13-3), who recorded 41 shots in a 4-0 loss to Detroit on Friday, were shut out in consecutive games for the first time since March 2008. It was the first time they were blanked in back-to-back home games since October 2003.

Pyatt opened the scoring at 10:59 of the first period, redirecting Sami Lepisto's one-timer from the right point through Jonas Hiller's legs. Hiller, who threw his head back in disgust after the puck eluded him, finished with 23 saves.
The Ducks, who snapped the Coyotes' seven-game winning streak with a 6-4 victory at Glendale on Nov. 27, received four consecutive minor penalties during a 4:18 span of the second period. The Coyotes (13-7-6) netted only one power-play goal out of it, but it was more than enough for them to beat Anaheim for the first time in three tries this season.
Joffrey Lupul, who hadn't played in an NHL game since Dec. 8, 2009, because of back surgery and a subsequent blood infection, made his season debut for Anaheim.
With Ducks defenseman Andy Sutton in the penalty box for slashing Scottie Upshall, Coyotes captain Shane Doan converted the rebound a one-timer by defenseman Keith Yandle into his second goal of the season at 17:23 of the second period.
• The Coyotes flew back to Phoenix immediately after the game. Phoenix's next game is on Thursday vs. the Minnesota Wild at Jobing.com Arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m. (Arizona time). The game can be seen on Fox Sports Arizona and can be heard on XTRA Sports 910 (AM).
"They have so much speed and they are going to get their chances. We
just tried to limit their chances to stuff along the wall."
"(Ilya Bryzgalov) is the backbone of our team. We play a style that he realizes he can have success with. He's doing his part. He's a fantastic goaltender."
"We owed them because they beat us twice already. So, it was a big win
