Woody
In-Arena Host

Woody has been part of the Coyotes/Sting organization for the past four years, as the in-game announcer for the Arizona Sting.  The 2007-08 NHL Hockey season will be Woody’s first full season at Coyote games, but he has been a valley known voice for more than 17 years  pleasing the ears of thousands of people who attend sporting events in the greater Phoenix area.  Woody has worked as the public address announcer for the Arizona Interscholastic Association for fifteen years, and throughout his career has held the same position for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Rattlers, Phoenix Mercury, Arizona State University football, basketball, baseball and volleyball, and many other sporting events.

Often heard but not seen, Woody’s voice has been hired as a national voice over talent for numerous projects and companies, such as Circle K, Verizon Wireless, Motorola, Cox Communications, Harkins Theatres and X-Box, to name just a few.  Born in Pittsburgh, PA but raised here in the heat of it all…Woody’s passion is deep routed in the Valley of the Sun. “I’ve always had my heart in what I do, and I’ll make sure the Coyote fans bring it every game this year,” says Woody.  “I am looking forward to an exciting year with the greatest fans in the NHL…it’s going to be a wild ride!”

Remember Woody’s three simple rules…LOUD and PROUD. Wait, that’s two…but they’re good enough!
